International Canoe Federation

The new education programme was launched last year 2009 to raise the level of the international technical officials. The pilot seminar was organized in Tehran (IRI) during the Asian Canoe Sprint Championships 2009 in September.

The Canoe Sprint ITO Seminar contains the following:

  1. Preparation of tasks before seminar

  2. A level entry test before the theory sessions to focus on correct areas of officiating

  3. Theory sessions before practise in an international event

  4. Practise four different duties minimum

  5. Written examination of CSP Racing Rules and ICF Statutes

  6. Verbal examination of CSP Racing Rules and ICF Statutes

If you would like to participate in our seminar, you need at least 5 years experience at the national level. Your National Federation should send the application to the ICF Headquarters and to the chairman of Canoe Sprint Committee.

The next seminar and examination will be organized in Poznan during the first World Cup (3-8 May, 2011). The invitation will be published in soon.
