Canoe Slalom Training Days for London 2012 Announced
London 2012 draws closer as the ICF announces training dates for National Teams well in advance of the upcoming Olympic Games.
The ICF Pre-Games training opportunities have already been secured and are in place to facilitate cost-effective training time at the venue. These training sessions are reserved for National Federations to send their best athletes and are initially limited to a maximum 12 elite boats per nation on any one of these occasions. The dates are as follows:
17–28 October 2011
16–27 April 2012
16–20 May 2012
28 May–5 June 2012
26 June–7 July 2012
National Federations should note that:
The organisers retain the right to adjust these dates should unforeseen circumstances prevail.
The organisers may need to further restrict the numbers of boats per nation to contain the boat numbers.
More details on these training sessions will be confirmed at the 2010 ICF Canoe Slalom Coaches' Symposium in Uxbridge, UK from 5–7 November. In the meantime, NFs are kindly requested to register a Pre-Games Training correspondent at by emailing internationalpaddling@leevalleypark.org.uk.
